TABLE ALLOCATIONS / OFFICIAL WARNING

Good Morning Australia,

Today is the day that Albury gets inundated by Australia’s best pool players and we wish safe travels to all.

There is still plenty of setup happening at the Commercial Club today so we ask that everybody give us a clear run and not show up early expecting to get on a table.

At this stage, we are hoping to have all tables available for practice by 5pm… if that changes, we will let you all know.

The AEBF did a table allocation draw so states and territories had dedicated tables to practice.

OFFICIAL WARNING:

Any players found to be reckless and or cause damage to the tables may face disciplinary action and or be expelled from the Championships.

Practicing of masse shots is not acceptable.

Drinks and food is absolutely NOT acceptable over or near the pool tables.

We trust all players will respect rules, respect the tables and respect that we all need to play on these tables.

The club security cameras have been made available to the AEBF to view any suspected breach of these rules.

Good Morning Australia,

The Stanley Room is well under way with the sixteen (16) traditional tables already in place and starting to settle.

The Australia Cup players will call this place home for the first eight days of the championships before we move the finals into the Townsend Room.

* DAY 1 – BUMP IN *

Good Morning Australia,

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Nationals!!

The Thirty-Two (32) Supreme Pool Tables rolled into Albury very early this morning and work has begun.

Our man (Nick) from ‘JNR Transport’ has done a great job getting the tables to the Commercial Club and now it’s over to Peter and his boys at ‘Just Billiards’ to start the task of placing them in the rooms.

Thanks to Ray Atwell at CL&S for his assistance over the last few months with getting these tables tournament ready and thanks to Paul Modica and his team at CL&S Melbourne for getting the tables loaded safely yesterday from the Tullamarine factory.

This is the biggest setup in the history of the Australian Eight Ball Championships and probably of any cue sports event in this country and we are facing logistical issues along the way, but having professional people involved in the process certainly helps things run in the right direction.

We are delighted to confirm that CueBall TV will be live-streaming the 2023 Australian Championships from the Commercial Club Albury.

Dan Lynch & Cueball.TV are pioneers in the world of cue-sports live streaming and have continuously provided innovative ways to broadcast our sport around the country and the world.

The 2023 addition will see some changes in how the ‘show tables’ are covered in the Townsend Room.

* Two tables in the arena.

* Custom lights over each table.

* Overhead camera shot.

* Fixed camera from triangle end.

* A live scoring TV screen.

* A dedicated drinks server for each team.

(Note: one of the above is not true 🤣)

* NEWS FLASH *

All Australia Cup finals matches will be played in the Townsend Room on Supreme Tables.

The AEBF along with NSW 8-Ball would like to thank Dan Lynch for all his hard work in the lead up to this year’s championships and we look forward to our great game once again being broadcast across the globe for everyone’s enjoyment.

** THE PAPARAZZI ARE BACK **

Good Morning Australia,

Our favourite shutterbugs make their return to Albury for the 2023 Australian Eight Ball Championships.

Gary Bradshaw Photography (GazzaB) is a husband and wife team, specializing in sports photography and capturing those ‘moments in time’ that are cherished forever.

GazzaB is a small family business that offers a professional photography service on the field while still providing a personalized and efficient experience off it.

They cover junior & senior sporting team photos, action, festivals & events… actually just about anything!!

Community sporting organizations are the beating heart behind the success of GazzaB Photography and the AEBF along with NSW 8-Ball are excited to have Gary & Kaye back this year as the tournaments official photographers.

The system for this year’s Nationals will be a little different…

Team photos, custom portraits and action shots will all be available as prints and they can mostly be collected the same day!

Yes, you read that correctly…. ON THE SAME DAY…. BOOYAH!!!

Gary & Kaye will have their area set up outside the Townsend room again this year to assist with orders and any special requests.

Gary will be snapping fantastic action shots throughout the championships in all four of the playing rooms including finals & presentation night.

We thanks GazzaB for their support and we ask the pool community to once again support the businesses that support our sport.

Log on and check out their great work.
