2022 Australia Cup Championships

Good Evening Australia,

The start of the ‘FIRST EVER’ Australia Cup is only one week away.

Over 90 players in 15 teams from all 8 states and territories will battle it out for the honour of being the Inaugural Australia Cup Champions.

In addition to the teams championship, all Aus Cup players will also battle it out for the first ever Australia Cup Singles Championship and this should be a hotly contested event.

Aus Cup players will have the opportunity to test themselves at the highest level when they mix it with the Nationals players in the AEBF Plate. This event will be played under International Rules and could provide some interesting results.
Aaaand to add a little more fun to the carnival, the Australian ‘Pride in Sport’ 6-Red Challenge is open to everyone also!
The 6-Red is guaranteed to provide some memorable moments.

2022 Australia Cup Championships

It’s an exciting time for all the Aus Cup players and we congratulate all of you for making your state teams.
We would like to welcome you all to ‘The Nationals Family’ and hope you all have a fantastic time.

In conclusion, I hope you’ve all been practicing for this… there could be a little Easter Egg on offer for some of you at tournaments end.

Lance Sheen AEBF Life Member (inducted 1996)

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of one of our original founders and pioneers of Eight Ball in Australia – Lance Sheen who passed away after a long battle with ill health on Sunday morning 13th September 2020.

Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Lauri Sheen and family of Australian Eight Ball Federation Life Member, who was instrumental in shaping eight ball in Australia as it is today. Being involved on so many levels of administration over the years, he was truly a shining light in Australian Eight Ball, and worked on the National and State committees for many years.

Over the coming days, the AEBF will honour this amazing, dedicated and passionate man, and we invite the community to share their stories and memories of Lance.
