Purpose

Education is key to protecting the integrity of Australian sport.

This Education Plan outlines the learning and development initiatives designed to support all AEBF members in understanding and meeting their obligations under the National Integrity Framework (NIF), the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy, and the World Anti-Doping Code International Standard for Education (ISE). The Plan is reviewed annually.

  • Recognise risk — understand integrity threats including doping, competition manipulation, and abuse.

  • Make ethical decisions — apply values and principles to real-world sporting dilemmas.

  • Protect the community — help maintain the wellbeing and integrity of Australian Eight Ball for everyone.

  • Meet compliance obligations — AEBF is accountable under ASC NSO recognition criteria to establish, maintain, and enforce this plan.

Working With Children Check (WWCC): Requirements are based on AEBF minimum standards. In some states, all volunteers at a club with junior participants must hold a WWCC regardless of their specific role. Visit the National Office for Child Safety for state-specific requirements.
