Notice of 2026 Mid-Year Meeting and Annual General Meeting

The Board of the Australian Eight Ball Federation Limited gives notice of two General Meetings on Tuesday 17 November 2026, held in conjunction with the Australian Championships.

Meeting 1: Mid-Year Meeting
Opens at 9:00am AEST.

Meeting 2: Annual General Meeting
Opens at 2:00pm AEST.

Venue: Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, Carrara

Each meeting has its own agenda, quorum and minutes.

What’s on

Mid-Year Meeting

  • Procedural Resolution 1
  • A proposal to engage an independent investigator
  • Presentation of the five amended National Integrity Framework policies, updated to meet Sport Integrity Australia requirements
  • Q&A on the National Integrity Framework with Craig Beed at 12:00pm

Annual General Meeting

  • Procedural Resolution 2
  • Minutes of the 2025 AGM (reconvened 15 June 2026)
  • Board performance review and governance report
  • Treasurer’s report and financial statements
  • Eleven notices of motion, including Members’ vote to adopt the amended National Integrity Framework policies and a Board motion to meet a special condition of our Australian Sports Commission recognition
  • Confirmation of Host States, including the Senior Host State President for 2027
  • Elections for President, Treasurer, Administrator, Coaching Director, Tournament Director, Media Officer and Promotional Coordinator

Motions 3, 5, 8 and 11 are proposed Special Resolutions. Their terms are in the Notice of Meeting.

Elections and the resumed sitting
The elections will be held at a resumed sitting of the AGM at 10:00am AEST on Saturday 28 November 2026, at the same venue, if the meeting agrees to the adjournment. Nominations closed on 20 October 2026. Position Descriptions are available below.

Proxies and Representatives

  • Proxies and Attorneys: send to [email protected] by 9:00am AEST on Sunday 15 November 2026.
  • Representatives: no deadline in the Constitution, but please send by the same time so the voting roll is right on the day.
  • Resumed sitting: new or amended Proxy or Attorney appointments by 10:00am AEST on Thursday 26 November 2026.

Corrections to our 6 October email
We got three things wrong and want to set them straight:

  1. The two meetings are separate, not one combined meeting.
  2. The 48-hour deadline applies to Proxies and Attorneys only, not Representatives.
  3. The Nominations Committee assesses Director positions only, not Development Committee positions.
